Welcome to My Blog!!!
The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.

Hello, Hi, Bawo ni, Hola, Ciao, Nĭ hăo, Hallo! My name is Aliyah, I am 20 years old and currently studying Law at University. It feels sooo weird to be blogging, but here we go! Starting my twenties felt so strange because it signifies the end of your teenage years and the start of adulthood. I remember on my birthday thinking that I had to have my whole life figured out because I am now OFFICIALLY an adult. So, of course, I took to the internet to give me the answers on how to deal with the transition from adolescence to adulthood and how to be a real adult. I was expecting the worst answers, (you know when you’re ill and you Google your symptoms and find out you’ve got an incredibly rare disease or you have 2 days left to live but it’s really just the flu lol), but I actually found better answers than I was expecting. I read more articles than I can recount but two of my favourites are a Business Insider article and a LifeHack article. Both articles are full of gems and have great advice for young adults that may be feeling a little lost during their transition to adult life. Main points that I picked up from the articles were: To take risks, build on and learn new skills, not to be too hard on yourself if you feel as though you’re underachieving and to TRAVEL!
So, this takes us to the reason why I have decided to start blogging. I have taken the advice of these blogs and decided that one of my main goals in my twenties other than the conventional adult goals such as finishing University and finding a good job, is to travel and explore different cultures. With hope, in the near future I will secure a graduate job that aids this goal, however, for now I am still going to embark on my travels around the world! At this moment in time, my travel blogs will consist of cheap and cheerful short city breaks (because your girl is a Uni Student, with a part-time job, whilst trying to live her best life, so I won’t be in Bora Bora anytime soon… Wait on it though😭) and my experience of living abroad in Spain for a year, which will be very soon, September 2019! Finally, I cannot wait to share all of my experiences abroad (the good and bad) from my perspective as a young, woman of colour, share tips on how I saved or how I could have saved myself money on holidays and just to have a diary and log of all of my travels. There is always going to be a slight fear of the unknown and growing up, but I am so excited for this new stage in my life and my upcoming adventures!
Sayonara,
Aliyah xx
P.S. If you guys ever have any travel (or, general) advice for me or just want to share your experiences, please always feel free to comment.
